UnitedHealthcare manages behavioral health through Optum, one of the largest behavioral networks in the United States.

UnitedHealthcare behavioral health benefits are generally administered by Optum. Outpatient substance use treatment is a covered benefit under most UHC plans, and telehealth behavioral health is widely covered.

UHC's plan range is broad — commercial, marketplace, Medicare Advantage and various administrative-services arrangements — so cost-sharing varies more than with a single-product carrier. Verification matters here in particular.
